School Linked Mental Health Services

LMHC provides school linked mental health services to students at many schools in our surrounding region.   School based mental health services provide students with emotional, behavioral and social support during the school day and within the school environment.  These services are designed to assist with access to services while not having the disruption of taking students out of school or by having transportation issues.  Mental Health Practitioners and Professionals coordinate these services with the student’s academic schedule.  School Based Mental Health Services are focused to promote the student’s mental health, prevent behavioral issues and treat existing mental health and behavioral health needs.

School Linked Behavioral Health Services are made possible with the assistance of a grant from the Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS).  LMHC is able to provide services, despite the inability to pay, as part of this grant.  As the host agency of this grant, LMHC has partnered with Lutheran Social Services, The Village Family Service Center, Solutions Behavioral Healthcare and Stevens County Human Services to provide these services within many school districts in our surrounding region.

For more information on this service, please contact one of our office locations for assistance.
