About Us

LMHC is a private non-profit 501(c)3 corporation that has been providing behavioral health care services in west central Minnesota since 1949. LMHC has a thirteen (13) member Governing Board compromised of our member county’s commissioners and community representatives.

Our Mission is to provide high quality, accessible, behavioral healthcare for individuals, families and communities.

LMHC’s staff are specially trained to serve a broad spectrum of behavioral health care needs.

LMHC’s staff provides a full range of confidential behavioral health care services for families and individuals of all ages. Services are provided in an office setting, in a client’s home, in a school setting, or in a community setting. These services include individual, family, and/or group therapy, psychological evaluations, psychiatric assessments, psychiatric medication management and outreach services such as case management, rehabilitative mental health services, day treatment, and skills training. To meet this broad mission and be responsive to the needs in our communities, LMHC has formed many community partnerships with area schools, hospitals. clinics and other agencies.

Our expert staff includes psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, psychologists, clinical social workers, licensed marriage and family counselors, licensed professional clinical counselors, licensed drug and alcohol counselors, registered and licensed nurses and mental health practitioners.

LMHC has offices in Moorhead, Fergus Falls, Alexandria, Detroit Lakes, and Glenwood. Services are also available in Perham and Parkers Prairie.
