LMHC opened a full time office in Detroit Lakes in 1985. The office is located at 928 8th St. SE in Detroit Lakes, MN 56501.

The staff at the Detroit Lakes office specialize in a variety of services for children and adults of all ages.

These services include:

  • Outpatient Services for both Children and Adults. These services include; individual, group or family therapy, psychiatry services and psychological evaluations.
  • Outreach Services for Adults. These services include; case management, rehabilitative mental health services, homeless services and community support services.
  • Outreach Services for Children. These services include; individual and family therapy, case management, day treatment, therapeutic services and supports, life’s skills training and development, and school based mental health services.

Emergency mental health services are available during business hours in all LMHC office locations for adults and children. On evenings, weekends and holidays, the Mobile Mental Health Crisis Response team can be reached by calling (800) 223-4512.

Wanda Dahlen, Ph.D, LP

Licensed Psychologist

Clinical Specialties: Provides individual and family therapy to individuals 18 years of age and older who are diagnosed with depression, anxiety, and a variety of other mental health disorders. Dr. Dahlen also conducts a variety of psychological evaluations, including parental capacity evaluations, anger/domestic abuse assessments and general psychological evaluations.

Shelley Guida, MS, LMFT

Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist

Clinical Specialties: Provides therapy services to children, adolescents and families with a variety of mental health symptoms. Special interests include working with adolescents experiencing mental health symptoms, grief and loss and family relationship issues.

Patricia Dumont, MSW, LICSW

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Clinical Specialties: Provides teleahealth services to individuals 12 years of age and older. Her services includes therapy for individuals, couple and families who are experiencing a variety of behavioral health concerns. Patricia has a passion for serving adolescents. She has strong success with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and uses Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing techniques to move clients toward behavioral goals.

Greta Jeska, MA

Counselor

Clinical Specialties: Provides therapy services to children, adolescents and adults who are experiencing a variety of mental health symptoms such as depression, anxiety, stress, trauma and grief/loss. Her services are provided under the direct supervision of a licensed professional.

Sam Gobel, MS

Counselor

Clinical Specialties: Provides therapy services to adolescents and adults who may be experiencing a variety of mental health symptoms, including anxiety, depression, grief and more. He utilizes a variety of theoretical approaches that include cognitive behavioral therapy and reality therapy/choice theory. His services are provided under the direct supervision of a licensed professional.

Lisa Carrlson, MS, PMHNP-BC

Nurse Practitioner

Clinical Specialties: Lisa is a Board Certified Adult Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She provides psychiatric assessments, medication management and follow up for children, adolescents and adults. Lisa’s areas of interest includes bipolar, depression, anxiety disorders, post-traumatic stress syndrome (PTSD), Attention Deficit Disorder (ADHD/ADD) and psychosis/schizophrenia.
